We checked out of the gorgeous resort in the Alps and the Bavarian country. We headed to our last adventures before traveling to our last destination, Vienna.
Our first stop was the Salt Mine tour. We wore funny coveralls, rode on a train and slid down two wooden slides! We got to see how the entire process works.
Part of my favorite thing about Adventures by Disney is being immersed into the culture. We went to a local bakery to learn about making pretzels. This bakery is owned by the Neumayer family for the past three generations. They supply rolls and pastries throughout the city including the hotel where we stayed. They live by a saying "A Day without Bread is like living a day without the sun". You can see this on a sign right outside their bakery.
This family is known for their organic and traditional way of making bread. We got to learn how to make this specialty and tour their bakery.
We headed on to Mondsee which is toward Vienna. This is another UNESCO city. This has the Cathedral featured in the Sound of Music where Maria got married. We had lunch at s family owned restaurant right on the water. Like many of the other places we've eaten at it was delicious and the view was gorgeous!
Our bus ride to Vienna went by quickly. The tour guides add so much to this downtime. On the last leg we played such cute games and it made the time fly. We arrived into Vienna in time to have dinner on our own. The advice of the guides was to "get lost in the city!"
I can't wait to go on our tour tomorrow and see even more of Vienna!
