2. Disney Characters on the move at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Work on the center stage at DIsney's Hollywood Studios began in preparations for Start Wars: A Galzxy Far, Far Away, the new show which will begin regular performances next month. With the construction going on the characters that you normally see there will be found in the courtyard area of The Great Movie Ride.
3. Disney's Wine and Dine Half Marathon gets new events and schedule changes.
Many changes to the 2016 Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend were announced early this week, including the revelation that this runDisney even will expand to three days this year with new events and a modified schedule. The main half-marathon even will begin at 5:30am and will take runners on a different course through ESPN Wide World of Sports, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Epcot.
This year they will also include an all-new Disney Wine and Dine 10K, which will take place on Saturday, November 5th and will be included of the newly announced Lumiere's Two Course Challenge, which will also include a half-marathon event.
You can register for these events starting on March 29th.

6. Easter 2016 Entertainment Schedule for Magic Kingdom is confirmed.
The week of Easter is always a busy time at Walt Disney World, during this busy, yet fun time, Disney has announced they will bringing back some of the fan favorite seasonal entertainment this year to help you celebrate the holiday with Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny. The Bunny's will be meeting guests on Main Street USA and can be found in the Town Square Courtyard March 14-27, 2016 from 9am to 6pm. In addition to our favorite Bunny and his wife, the festively dressed Azalea Trail Maids will appear in a special Easter pre-parade before the Festival of Fantasy Parade on March 26th and 27th. These beautiful maids will be on hand to meet and take photos with guest on Easter Sunday.
Guest that aren't staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge can finally enjoy one of the perks that has only been offered to guests of the Lodge. Disney World guests can now take part in the Night Safari, complete with the night-vision goggles.
It has been renamed the Starlight Safair. Guests will be able to use the goggles to see the zebras, giraffes and other exotic animals while on a night safari.
Reservations for the Starlight Safari can be made starting now. You can ask your favorite travel agent to book this nighttime safari for you. The cost is $70 per hour, per guest.
8. Star Wars Day at Sea will return to the Disney Cruise Line in early 2017. These Disney Fantasy special sailings will expand to both eastern and western Caribbean itiniearies.
Each sailing will have a full day of dark side and light side fun. Characters from Star Wars will be making random appearances , there will be a deck party complete with fireworks, Jedi training for the kids and screening of the Star Wars movies. There will also be unique food and beverages and of course, special merchandise.
