I was lucky enough to attend the first Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom this year. The park has already been transformed into a holiday wonderland, but there is a little extra magic – pixie dust – that only Disney knows how to add during one of their special events!
The party I attended was sold out, but I didn’t feel like the park was busy at all. We had very minimal wait times for attractions. (I think the longest was the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and that was only 25 minutes!) It is one of the very few times where you can meet the princesses with their princes as well as other characters that are hard to find.
If you hang out on Main Street, U.S.A. you have the opportunity to see something very rare… SNOW! It snows in the Magic Kingdom! You can also view Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas Parade and watch as Elsa transforms Cinderella’s Castle into a beautiful, icy display of winter magic. Holiday Wishes is the Magic Kingdom’s holiday fireworks display. Tinkerbell still flies across the sky as your favorite holiday classics set the tune to the nighttime display.
Don’t forget to check out the shows! Mickey and his friends present ‘Celebrate the Season’ in front of the castle and ‘Totally Tomorrowland Christmas’ includes Buzz, Stitch, and Mike Wazowski. I danced with Phineas and Ferb in Tomorrowland right after grabbing my cookies and hot chocolate!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a great way to celebrate the holidays with your family and to make magical memories that will last a long time! Tickets are still available.
