While it will be sad to say good-bye to the 'Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade', it is exciting to begin thinking about the new parade…Festival of Fantasy!
'The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade' is going to bring the New Fantasyland directly to Main Street U.S.A. There will be new and innovative floats, vibrant costumes and an original soundtrack featuring all of your favorite songs from some amazing Disney Classics - along with a Parade Theme Song!!
Here is a sample of the amazing stories the parade will highlight:
The Little Mermaid
The 'Festival of Fantasy Parade' is set to debut in Spring of 2014 and the 'Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade' should be making its' final appearance late in 2013.
Disney World Resorts are moving to a new "Rapid Fill" Refillable Mug program live across all on-property resorts. The devices are already installed at all resorts and currently in use at the All-Star Music and All-Star Movies Resorts!
This program allows guests to purchase a specific number of days of refills. RFID chips are embedded in the mugs and will only allow usage for the actual purchased number of days. At the end of the period you purchased, the mug will automatically deactivate.
The Rapid Fill mugs can be used at any resort hotel quick service fountain, regardless of where it was originally purchased.
Unlike the current refillable mug program, the "Rapid Fill" pricing is based on the number of days:
$8.99 for 1 day
$11.99 for 2 days
$14.99 for 3 days
$17.99 for length of stay
(Days are counted as a calendar day, and not a 24 hour period!)
This mug will be included with Disney Dining Plan packages.
A new mug will need to be purchased for each resort stay.
Mugs are all the same design, featuring the Fab 5 in a pool scene. Lids are in a range of colors, including black, green, orange, pink, purple, teal and yellow.
Disneyland has added another Magical show to Fantasyland. It's located right across from the "It's A Small World" ride.
Here's a quick summary: Mickey is the apprentice to Map Maker, Yen Sid. Mickey longs to be more than just an apprentice and decides to prove he's ready by finishing the map himself. As Mickey works hard to finish the map an unpainted spot comes to life and gives Mickey a challenge! The spot takes Mickey on some adventures around the World. The first stop is in the Jungle Book with King Louie. The two of them carry on their adventure to The Americas with Pocahontas, China with Mulan and Germany with Rapunzel. The three end with a trio of their self reflective songs. Then an up beat Sebastian brings out his fun song Under the Sea!
Mickey struggles to finish painting the map and comes to realize that maybe this stubborn spot does not want to be painted. Yen Sid returns confirming Mickey's discovery and he says "The map will never be finished so long as there is imagination in the world." Mickey then takes a couple more adventures in New Orleans with Princess Tiana and through the waves of Hawaii while dancers move to "Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride".
The show was such a great addition to Fantasyland and definitely a must see! It was upbeat and a good-feeling show! I can't wait to see it again! Check with your Dream Maker for the show times while you are visiting the park.

I recently got back from a Disney cruise on the new Dream. I was lucky enough to stay in a Concierge Verandah stateroom. The concierge came with so many awesome amenities!
We did the 3 night Bahamas sailing that has stops in Nassau and Castaway Cay on May 9th. Castaway by far is my favorite island I have ever been to.
I was with my husband, 11 yr old and 3 yr old son. My mom also came with us. We had such a great time we booked another cruise on board while we were there!
Our room had a queen size bed, pull out sofa and pull down bed. The bathroom was a split bath with shower/tub in one and toilet in the other.
There is so much to do on the ship that we didn't get off in Nassau. There is the Aqua Duck that my older son Michael (KidDisney.com) rode about 35 times.
Castaway Cay was a dream come true. Disney really does everything right. When I booked our cruise it was sort of last min and all the private cabanas were booked. When I got on board I asked the concierge team and they got me one!
Wow is all I can say, it was worth every penny! You basically have your own private beach right out front of the cabana. It’s fully stocked with very nice towels, sunscreen, water, pop and snacks. Plus you get your own butler service that will bring you whatever you ask for!
It was great to have a place for the kids to play in the sand out front while we sit in the shade. Ryan and Grandma Patty even took a nap on the couch in the cabana.
You get your own private hammock and shower to wash the sand off.
They gave the kids sand toys to play with too! Every detail is taken care of.
When you rent the cabana you also get the bike rentals, snorkel gear and tube rental with it. It’s all right there at the cabana for you too! So convenient.
My kids both enjoyed the shows and the pirate party. The fireworks on the ship were awesome!
By staying in a Concierge stateroom we got some extra perks:
I can’t wait to help you plan your family's next Disney Cruise!
