Michael kinnerk
Hello! My name is Michael Kinnerk. I'm a third-year student at Loyola Marymount University double majoring in Screenwriting and Political Science, as well as a member of the M-School. I graduated from Brother Rice High School in Chicago with honors and was awarded the title of Illinois State Scholar. Born and raised in Chicago, Los Angeles has become my new home. I'm hoping to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, honing in on screenwriting, acting, and songwriting. I hope to also use public relations and marketing skills acquired from LMU and previous internship experience to further that career, as well as helping to take another company to the next level in terms of marketing.
On top of my academic studies at LMU, I also am a student at the Groundlings, studying improvisational and sketch comedy. I am currently in the core track at the Groundlings, working towards advancing to the Lab Program.
As a sexual assault survivor, I take sexual assault advocacy very seriously. Because of this, I am in the process of developing and launching a clothing brand called keep me company that works to advocate for sexual assault survivors. This company is supposed to act as a protective shield for survivors, helping them know that they are never alone. 10 percent of the profits made will be donated to RAINN, the national sexual assault hotline, as well as the UCLA Rape Treatment Center in Santa Monica.
At my core, I am a charismatic, resilient, detail-oriented, insightful storyteller who is hungry to work and better himself. I am curious and fearless, as well as ecstatic to see what the future has in store.
