rachel mcdowell
Hi there!
My name is Rachel McDowell and I am an avid world traveler! I am also a wife, mom to twin boys, and Army veteran. I am inherently an adventurer and find peace in nature. I haven’t decided if I prefer the beach or the mountains, though (I guess I need to keep exploring until I decide).
I grew up in Portland, Oregon, did a stint in Arizona, but have ultimately found my way back to the “weird.” I now call the Austin area my home; where jeans and sandals are acceptable everywhere and I can wake up every day to mimosas and breakfast tacos.
Traveling has always spoke to my soul. Outside of my family, it is truly the thing that brings me the most joy. I have visited 33 states, 15 countries, and five continents with plans to visit two more states, two more countries, and one more continent within the next year. From as early on as I can remember, I have always wanted to explore new places and discover what the world has to offer. I have instilled this same love of travel in my boys, who have already visited 7 countries and are amazing world travelers.
My goal is to help you make unforgettable memories through travel with as little stress as possible. I have two mottos when it comes to travel - It’s the small details that separate a good vacation from a fantastic one; and there is no such thing as a bad vacation, just poor planning. With those two concepts in mind, let’s get to traveling!
